Vicky Tselepidou
AUTHOR

Vicky Tselepidou

In her highly acclaimed 2017 novel Fox, Pray Tell, What time is it?, Vicky Tselepidou portrays life as a blend of reality and magic, where documentation can easily devolve into the absurd and fairy tales can hold up a mirror to the grim truths of violence and intergenerational trauma. She has published six books with a focus on human nature and identity, often grappling with the issue of violence against women, and she loves to deploy science fiction themes and motifs, like cryogenics in her 2020 novel Big Dog, in order to pose philosophical questions about humanity’s place in an ever-changing world. Born in Kavala in 1975, she studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Communications Management in London, and went on to study Creative Writing and Spanish Language and Culture. Her 2022 novel 120 Grams was inspired by her personal experience working as a notary in a small border town in Northern Greece.
