Event Spaces
Technopolis City of Athens opens its doors to welcome authors, journalists, artists and visitors from all over the world for the 1st Athens International Literature Festival (AILF). For three days, the various Technopolis event spaces will transform into meeting points and literary hubs, each with its own unique voice and personality, offering festival-goers countless opportunities for inspiration and dialogue.
Gasholder 1 – Auditorium “Miltiadis Evert” and the Machine-works building will be the beating heart of the festival, playing host to the talks and panels with the festival’s guest authors, journalists and major figures from the national and international literary scene and beyond.
INNOVATHENS will be hosting labs and workshops, with footage from the author talks and panels broadcasting live on screen so that all visitors can be part of the experience. It will also be the site for the festival’s café-bookstore, where literature lovers can stop by to grab a cup of coffee and browse the AILF official merch.
The Upper Courtyard will be transformed into an open-air stage, featuring live broadcasts of the discussions and a packed slate of side events aimed at helping the public connect and engage with literature, including the festival’s opening and closing parties. The Upper Courtyard is also where the book signings will be taking place, offering visitors a much-anticipated chance to interact with their favorite authors.
At the Info & Access Point, visitors will be able to get information on the festival’s schedule and side events.
The two entrances to Technopolis City of Athens are on Iakchou Str. and Persefonis Str. For more information on visiting the festival, click here.
