The 1st Athens International Literature Festival begins: What visitors need to know<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

The 1st Athens International Literature Festival invites the public to a three-day celebration of words, ideas, and international dialogue. With strong interest already shown during online presale, the festival is expected to attract a large number of visitors, who are encouraged to be aware of some key information to ensure the best possible experience.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Innovative Live Interpretation System<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

All festival talks will be accompanied by live interpretation, available via QR codes at the venues. By scanning the QR code with their mobile phones, visitors will be able to connect to a digital platform and select their preferred language (Greek or English). Simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language will also be provided.<\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • A mobile phone with internet access is required. <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Visitors must bring their own headphones, as none will be available for sale or loan at the festival. <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Access to Talks & Seat Availability<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

    Ticket presales sold out in a very short time, confirming the high level of public interest.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

    For those who did not secure a seat:<\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • A limited number of admission passes will be distributed daily at the registration desk, 2 hours before each event, on a first-come, first-served basis. <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Ticket holders are kindly asked to arrive at least 20 minutes before the start; otherwise, their seat may be released. <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Alternative Ways to Attend<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

      The festival ensures that no one is left out of the experience:<\/span><\/span><\/p>

      • Talks will be live-streamed on LED screens in the Auditorium Courtyard and at INNOVATHENS, with no reservation required. <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Visitors can enjoy the program in an open-air setting, in a more relaxed atmosphere. <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        Parallel Events & Festival Experience<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

        The main discussion program is complemented by a rich schedule of parallel activities with free admission on a first-come, first-served basis:<\/span><\/span><\/p>

        • Book signings <\/span><\/li>
        • Guided tours of the Industrial Gas Museum and the city <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Screenings <\/span><\/li>
        • Digital art installations <\/span><\/li>
        • DJ sets and parties <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          Books by participating authors that are available in Greek will be on sale throughout the festival at the Technopolis Shop, as well as at the book caf\u00e9 hosted at INNOVATHENS. Visitors will also be able to purchase official festival merchandise at these locations, taking home a small keepsake from the festival\u2019s first edition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
